We’re looking for keen and motivated individuals who seek a long and rewarding career in the Heavy transport repair Industry to join our upcoming apprenticeship intake.

Every year we get lots of applications for our apprenticeship programs, and it’s not hard to see why. All these trades are in very short supply worldwide and will continue to be in high demand. Our professional staff earn an attractive rate that’s well above New Zealand’s median wage.

Transport Repairs are offering Heavy Automotive – Road Transport (Diesel Mechanic), Auto Electrical and Parts Interpreter Apprenticeships across the South Island starting  January 24th 2022. We are looking for Keen, Motivated individuals who seek a Long and rewarding career in the heavy automotive industry. Diesel Mechanics, Auto Electricians, and Parts Interpreters are in very short supply worldwide and will continue to be as these trades continue to increase in demand. Completing an Apprenticeship equips you for life in a Career that grows with you and offers amazing Opportunities and variety.

 We have Diesel Mechanic Apprentice Roles in all locations, Electricians in Gore and Cromwell, and Parts Interpreters in Gore.

Our Heavy Vehicle & Auto Electrical Apprenticeships combine hands-on workshop training and studies with polytechnic block courses and specific training modules at our Training Facility in Gore. It allows you the opportunity to work on some of the most modern, sophisticated trucks on the road with access to the latest systems and technology.

To be eligible we seek applicants with…

  • New Zealand Citizenship or Permanent Residency and are currently in the country
  • NCEA Level 2 (or international equivalent) English and Maths
  • Proficient in Science subjects
  • Completion of an Automotive pre-employment course would be highly valued but not essential
  • Work experience with Transport Repairs or similar automotive / engineering workshop would be highly valued but not essential
  • Adult applicants with technical or trade experience are welcome

Automotive Electrical Apprenticeship

Locations Available: Gore

Our Parts Apprenticeships provide on-the-job training at one of our 5 main branches, backed up by bespoke eLearning modules and training courses through PACCAR (Kenworth and DAF) and other world-class manufacturers.

To be eligible we seek applicants with…

  • New Zealand Citizenship or Permanent Residency and are currently in the country
  • NCEA Level 2 (or international equivalent) English and Maths
  • Proficient in Science subjects
  • Completion of an Automotive pre-employment course would be highly valued but not essential
  • Work experience with Transport Repairs or similar automotive / engineering workshop would be highly valued but not essential
  • Adult applicants with technical or trade experience are welcome
