TRL Wild Hogs

Our guys from TRL Dunedin went to the very last Brass Monkey rally held over Queens Birthday weekend in Oturehua. Seven bikes made the cold journey along with our van as a support vehicle; manned by Engineering Apprentice Marty as pilot/safety operator/first-aider. The only sticky point was on Friday night in the dark at Waikouaiti, on the way home from picking up his rental bike from Christchurch, Blair ran over a load binder handle and blew two tyres.  The support van got christened and jumped into action to recovered the bike.  Two tyres were organized from Christchurch through Blair Welsford at Courier Post (TRL Dunedin customer) to come down in his truck overnight. Jason from QuickFit Tyres (Ex TRL Dunedin parts) came at the ungodly hour of 5am Saturday morning to fit the tyres. This allowed the boys to all meet at Regan’s in Outram for an 8am departure. Big thanks to Blair and Jason for making it all happen.

The rest of the weekend went really well. The boys all had a blast and some of them managed to travel up to 1500ks incident free! This says a lot of our team of people here in Dunedin that they want to spend so much time together outside of work hours. We are very lucky to have such a close knit team. The boys are already planning their next big adventure. Fingers crossed this one comes with less drama!

Oh, and if you are missing a load binder… we can sell you a replacement!
