Job Opening – Diesel Technician

Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out repairs on commercial vehicles according to procedures and in a timely safe manner
  • Carrying out fault diagnosis
  • Reporting any faults/defects in accordance with the processes
  • Working together with the parts team to obtain the correct replacement parts and ensure they are fitted correctly
  • Completing relevant documents on the work you have completed including internal documents, customer documents and department of transport documents
  • Complying with all procedures ensuring accuracy and quality on all jobs

Skills and Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician (preferably as an Heavy Truck Technician)
  • A full Driving Licence
  • A relevant Level 2/3 training qualifications (or equivalent) would be beneficial but is not essential
  • Excellent time keeping skills
  • To understand the importance of accuracy
  • To be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to plan ahead effectively and multi-task

Job Opening – Yardperson / Driver

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Service Manager you will be a “jack of all trades” whether its picking up/delivering 5 tractor and trailer units one day or doing a bit gardening the next there should be a full variety of tasks available for you to sink your teeth into.

This role may be ideal for a truck driver who is mechanically minded looking to get away from full time driving.

You will be Responsible Accountable for?

This position is responsible for but not limited to: picking up and delivering customers trucks (class 2 -5), loading and unloading trucks (usually with forklift), keeping the yard clean and tidy (weeds etc), assisting with customer needs, parts pick up/drop off, assist in COF lane maneuvering vehicles around, on occasion help out picking/packing orders, washing trucks in new wash bay, light maintenance around the building (light bulbs, hanging pictures but anything big we will get a tradesman in to complete).

What we need from you?

  • Highly customer-focused Have good verbal and inter-person communication skills.
  • Class 5 license – bonus to have license endorsements W, T, R, F.
  • A positive can-do attitude and be customer-focused Reliable and self-motivated.
  • High regard for Health & Safety.
  •  Can follow instructions and work unsupervised.
  • You will need to be physically fit as heavy lifting will be involved in day to day operations.
  • The ability to solve problems and make decisions, as well as think laterally and offer creative solutions.

Job Opening – Fleet Coordinator

Reporting to the Service Manager and Area Manager you’ll be ensuring our customers receive their vehicles on time and in full whilst maximizing fleet productivity and efficiency in a sustainable manner.

This role may be ideal for a mechanic looking to get away from the tools.

You will be Responsible Accountable for?

This position is responsible for the day-to-day coordination one of our VIP customers. Primary responsibilities are ensuring customers receive their vehicles on time and in full and ensuring that their transport fleet is fully repaired/serviced to our high standard on time and that the customer is communicated with at all times so that they can meet full productivity and efficiency targets for their fleet.

What we need from you?

  • Highly customer focused Have good written, verbal and inter-person communication skills along with strong systems knowledge Knowledge of mechanical principles and methods of trucks, trailers and light commercial vehicles.
  • Experience with EROAD GPS platform desirable but not essential. The ability to solve problems and make decisions, as well as think laterally and offer creative solutions Strong organisational skills with the ability to continually look forward and plan successful outcomes Pays attention to detail Time management / work programming and delivery is effective Positive can do attitude Class 2 or higher license would be an advantage or must have the ability to obtain up to class 5.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support
  • Provide support to customers over the phone and by email
  • Chase order numbers
  • Raise job cards
  • Send invoices and provide quotes to customers
  • To provide a high quality of written communication on work including our internal documents, customers documents and the department of transports documents.
  • Generate and take bookings for service and repairs
  • Ensure that the appointment register is kept up to date
  • Ensure that jobs carried over to the next day are carried forward
  • Ensure that the best possible information is recorded and included on the job card
  • Keep customers updated on jobs
  • Organise efficient collection and delivery of vehicles to minimise downtime
  • Check through previous nights job cards, contact customers with a full update on work carried out and any outstanding defects.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Ability to plan ahead effectively and multi task
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
  • Good customer facing skills is essential
  • Previous experience within the motor industry
  • Previous experience delivering excellent administration and customer service is essential.
  • Previous experience with Kerridge is preferred
