About the role

What you'll be doing

Diagnosing, repairing and maintaining heavy diesel vehicles, heavy trailers, buses and equipment

Conducting regular inspections and servicing of fleet vehicles

Responding to callouts over the Marlborough region

Preparing detailed reports on work completed and parts required

Adhering to all health, safety and environmental regulations

Providing excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders

What we're looking for

Qualified heavy diesel mechanic with at least 5 years' experience

Proficient in the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of a wide range of commercial vehicles and equipment

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Good communication skills and customer service orientation

Class 4 or higher license or the willingness to obtain through the workplace.

On call experience preferred but not essential as full training will be given. Willingness to train to go on tow truck roster desirable.
